My name is Eva van der Born. I am a design researcher, creative technologist and DJ based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
In my work, I explore how design can shape meaningful relationships between people, technology, and their surroundings. With a critical and experimental approach, I challenge conventional design perspectives, seeking alternative ways to engage with emerging technologies and complex systems. My work navigates the boundaries between speculative thinking and practical application, creating tools, experiences, and interventions that invite participation and reflection. At BMD I also developed participatory workshops and coached students and interns.
Besides my work, I am a (vinyl) DJ playing around different clubs and events in the south of the Netherlands. I also host “Baas in Eigen Booth”, a monthly radio show at Rararadio with the FLINTA community in Eindhoven where I give them a platform to share their sound.
